SDD Travels – Rent a Car & Tourism

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the SDD Travels – Rent a Car & Tourism website and the booking and provision of our transportation and tourism services. By making a booking or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
SDD Travels provides tourism and transportation-related services in Sri Lanka, including airport transfers, chauffeur-driven vehicle hire, private tours, round tours, city tours, intercity transportation, customized travel arrangements and related vehicle/tourism services. The exact services included in each booking will be stated in the quotation or booking confirmation.
A booking is confirmed only after the customer has accepted the quotation or agreed to the booking, the required advance payment has been received, and SDD Travels has confirmed the booking. Availability is not guaranteed until confirmation.
Prices may vary according to vehicle, dates, duration, distance, passengers, route, itinerary, seasonal demand and additional services. A direct quotation will specify the applicable price and inclusions. Additional services, entrance tickets, personal expenses and services not included in the quotation may be charged separately.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide the confirmed vehicle. In exceptional circumstances such as mechanical problems, accidents, safety concerns or unforeseen operational issues, a suitable replacement vehicle of the same or reasonably comparable category may be provided.
The chauffeur will operate the vehicle in accordance with applicable road and safety regulations. Customers must not request or encourage the driver to exceed legal speed limits, drive dangerously, operate while fatigued, carry more passengers than legally permitted or perform unlawful activities. The driver may refuse an unsafe or unlawful instruction.
Where a quotation specifies a mileage limit, operating hours or additional-hour charges, those conditions apply. Additional kilometres, hours, accommodation requirements, route changes, waiting time or services outside the agreed package may result in additional charges.
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings and luggage. SDD Travels is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to belongings left unattended or inside a vehicle, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Customers should keep valuables, passports and electronic devices secure.
Changes requested during a tour are subject to vehicle availability, driver working-hour limitations, road and weather conditions and additional time or distance. A driver may decline a requested route or activity where it would be unsafe, unlawful or impractical.
Some arrangements may involve independent third-party providers such as hotels, attractions, restaurants, guides, activities and other transportation providers. Their own terms, availability and cancellation policies may apply.
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Where a booking contains special cancellation conditions, the conditions stated in the quotation or booking confirmation will apply.
SDD Travels will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, floods, natural disasters, road closures, government restrictions, strikes, civil disturbances, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, emergencies or other unforeseeable circumstances. We will make reasonable efforts to assist customers and provide alternatives where possible.
Customer and road safety are our priority. SDD Travels may modify, delay or cancel a journey where continuing would reasonably create a significant safety risk.
We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and current. Prices, vehicle availability, routes, photographs and descriptions may change without prior notice. A booking confirmation or written quotation takes precedence over general website information where there is a difference.
The content of sddtravels.lk, including the SDD Travels logo, branding, photographs, text, graphics and other materials, belongs to SDD Travels or its respective licensors unless otherwise stated. It may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or commercially used without prior written permission.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SDD Travels will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute should first be addressed directly with SDD Travels in an effort to reach an amicable resolution.
SDD Travels may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary. The latest version will be published on sddtravels.lk and will apply to future bookings unless otherwise agreed.
